Hadith an islamic overview

Hadith in Islamic law has a crucial role.
because with the hadith, the laws are not clear in al-quran can be described clearly. so explain what the hadeeth in al-qur'an still be global or mujmal. hadith are essentially detailed the law that existed at the al-qur'an become clear.

As functions of the hadith is as follows:
The Qur'an emphasizes that the Messenger SAW. function-word explanation of why the word of God (Sura 16:44). Explanation or parrot the view of many scholars in diverse forms and the nature and function.
Qur `an and hadith are the two sources that can not be separated. The connection of the two looks, among others:

a. Strengthen the law that established hadith Qur `an. Here the hadith serves to strengthen and solidify the law as stated by the Qur'an. For example, the Qur'an lays down the law of fasting, in his words:
"Hey people - believers fasting obligatory upon you as required on people - people before you, that you be cautious." (Q.S AL-Baqarah / 2:183)
Strengthen the obligation of fasting and the hadith:
Islam is founded upon five things: "the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish regular prayer, pay Zakat, fasting in Ramadan and pilgrimage to the temple." (Bukhari and Muslim)

b. Hadith provide details of the statement Al Qur `an is still global. For example Qur `an express command prayer:
"And establish regular prayers and also your bayarkanlah zakat" (QS Al Baqarah / 2:110) prayer in paragraph above is still general in nature, then the hadith elaborate, such as the compulsory prayers and circumcision. word of the Prophet SAW:
Of Talha bin Ubaidillah: bahwasannya has come to a Bedouin Arab Prophet. and said: "O Messenger of prayer please let me what difardukan for me?" The Apostle said: "Salat five times a day, others are voluntary" (HR.Bukhari and Muslim)
Qur `an does not explain in detail the operational prayer, both reading and movement. This is described in detail by the Hadith, for example, the word of the Prophet SAW:
"Shalatlah you all as you see me praying." (Narrated by Bukhari)

c. Restrict the absoluteness Hadith Koran verses `an. For example Al Qur` an prescribed testament:
"Prescribed for you, if one of you the arrival of the signs of death and he left a lot of treasure, to mother and father berwasiatlah closest relatives in kindness. It is the duty of those who fear Allah, "(QS Al Baqarah / 2:180)
Hadith gives the maximum limit of property through a will which does not exceed one third of the abandoned property (inheritance). This messenger delivered the hadeeth narrated by Bukhari and Muslim from Sa `ad ibn Abi Waqash who asked the Prophet about the number of property through a will. Prophet forbade giving in full, or half. He agreed to provide one-third of the abandoned property.

d. Hadith provides an exception to the statement of Al Qur `an which are general. For example Qur `an proscribe scavenged and blood:
"Forbidden to you (for food) are carrion and blood, pork, meat that was slaughtered in the name other than Allah, the strangled, who was beaten, the fallen, who ditanduk, are eaten by wild animals, except that you could kill it, and that which is sacrificed to idols. And forbidden to you also raffle luck with arrows, so as godlessness. (Q.S Al anymore / 5:3)
Hadith make exceptions to allow eating certain types of carrion (dead fish, and grasshoppers) and certain blood (liver and spleen) as word of the Prophet SAW:
From Ibn 'Umar ra.Rasulullah PBUH said: "Permitted to us two dead and two blood. The two dead are fish and locusts, and two blood is the liver and spleen. "(HR.Ahmad, Syafii`, Ibn Majah, Bayhaqi and Daruqutni)

e. Hadith establish new laws that are not determined by the Qur `an. Qur `an is global, much of what the law is not determined with certainty. In this sense, Sunnah act lays down the law that has not been established by the Qur` an, such as the following hadith:
Prophet prohibits all animals that fanged and clawed all the birds (Narrated by Muslim from Ibn Abbas)

'Abd al-Halim Mahmud, the former Shaykh al-Azhar, in his book al-Sunna wa fi fi Makanatiha Tarikhiha writes that Sunnah or Hadith have a function associated with the Al-Quran and functions in connection with legal guidance syara'. By referring to the opinion of al-Shafi'i in al-Risala, 'Abdul Halim confirmed that, in relation to the Qur'an, there are two functions that are not al-Sunna is disputed, namely what is termed by scholars with a parrot while ta'kid and bayan commentary. The first was simply reinforce or underline again what is contained in the Qur'an, while the latter to clarify, specify, even restrict, the notion was born from the verses of the Quran.
